A good little stop alongside the highway. The thing which is really amazing about this restaurant is the delicious and incredibly flavorful baked beans. They exceed any expectations and are packed with delicious ingredients. Now for what you are dying to know about, the BBQ! The BBQ came out a bit dry and warm instead of hot like we expected. We let the waitress know and she sent the owner out who came right to our table and made the whole thing right. He brought us hot new food and refreshed our whole plate.
We got the sampler platter, Brandon liked the brisket and the Pork came out moist. The smokey flavor on the ribs was impressive, and we did indeed see the pink. The fries were hot and crisp. The coleslaw was okay. The italian sausage had a kick and came out nice and moist the second time around. The pickles, lettuce, celery and mixed peppers were nice to snack on in-between the BBQ.
They have two beers on tap at the moment, Pacifico and Alaskan Amber for $3.50.
I feel it’s vital to mention that the owner came out and chitchatted with all the patrons in the dining room and checked in on their experiences, as well as gave them advice for local spots in the area to those who were visiting.
The kids looked like they were having a blast outdoors playing mini-golf and the patios definitely looked like somewhere worth hanging out.
Overall, not a bad place to stop on your way through Pagoda Springs.
